Yo! Wassup? Alles klar? ¿Qué tal? hehe.... welcome to my BLOG!
Youth camp
Hmm... now for the update on the camp, as I promised.
On the first day, it rained while we were setting up camp, my shoes were soaked and it was cold at night. Nothing I could do as I had only a pair of shoes and sandals with me. Can't wear the sandals as it would have been worst because of the strong winds at the camping site.
On the second day we had a canoe tour, totally cool, not really so tiring but after the canoe tour, we had a night game, that was tiring as we had to run around and it was cold and wet. Two boats capsized today as Mimi did that on perpose. The field there was so wet at night although the day was so hot, probably, because of the high humidity.
We had a hike trail on Monday that we had to follow with a compass... wasn't hard... pretty easy actually. Then we had archery... that was cool and also flying fox..... or for those of you who don't know, that means sliding across to ravine or valley with rope.... hehe.. very cool indeed, and i managed to hit the middle of the target twice in archery... so happy though it was probably only through luck as it was my first time.
Canoe tour again on the Tuesday as we shifted our campign site.. packed our stuff into a van and then set off in canoes... our equipment and baggage will be driven there. There was an unexpected twist that day as we were paddling through a lake. There was strong winds against us and the current was strong...really straining getting through it.....One boat with only three girls on it could make it through and we were held up for 1 and a half hours as a rescue boat had to go back and get them.....mainly switching the boat members....Cool time there...hehe....
Then we had a wall climbing session, natural rock formation... I managed the wall with a difficulty of 4+ but only mananged to climb half of the wall with a difficulty of 5+,couldn't get over a ridge. only one person managed that wall.. hehe... We had our last canoe session on Thursday, got capsized after a water slide... the person at the back did not steer the boat and we turned and got swept sidewards by the current... was totally wet, but it made no difference as it started to rain after that, everyone was wet. We were not the only boat to capsize that day. another boat capsized on another water slide....Overall, the food was ok.... hehe... tiring, but really had fun!
Closer to the youth group now... well, will definitely miss the bunch when I have to return to Malaysia.
